Mt. Tsao Moon World is not completely barren as you might think but it's easy to see the lunar comparison. The area is rich in fossils and is the location of the earliest known human habitation in Taiwan. The Tsai Liao Fossil Museum (closed on Mondays) in Junghe village has an extensive collection.
