Ruins of Angkor - Phnom Krom

Phnom Krom at Siem Reap, built during the reign of Yasovarman I (889-910)

If you head about 12km south of Siem Reap you come to Phnom Krom which sits on a hill at the edge of Tonle Sap lake. The temple is in a state of ruin though it's scenic tranquil setting makes it an attractive place to visit. There is an active modern wat on the grounds and a fishing village on the lake below. Phnom Krom is one of the quieter spots to catch the sunrise.
